NORC at the University of Chicago Awarded $24 Million from USAID to Establish Research Technical Assistance Center

CHICAGO, August 2, 2018 — The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded a contract valued at up to $24 million to NORC at the University of Chicago to establish a Research Technical Assistance Center (RTAC). RTAC is under the portfolio of USAID’s Higher Education Solutions Network programs managed by USAID’s Global Development Lab. RTAC will run from 2018 until 2022.
Under this award, NORC and its consortium of partners will build a global network of academic researchers to provide USAID with rapid response, on-demand research expertise. This technical assistance will help USAID continue to make evidence-based decisions and improve global programming. NORC will continue to expand its network of vetted academic researchers throughout the duration of the award to meet USAID’s evolving needs.
