March 24 and 25, 2021
Register now for the RTAC Virtual Conference on Public Interest Technology for International Development on March 24 and 25. This innovative virtual conference will be hosted by the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory™ at Arizona State University and the Research Technical Assistance Center (RTAC), integrating the fields of public interest technology and international development, to explore synergies in the application of technology to the advancement of human wellbeing. The study and application of technology to advance the public interest is a goal of technology in the international development space. This workshop is designed to enable networking and collaboration among academics and practitioners.
This conference will feature four different two-hour interactive sessions over the course of two days – scheduled to accommodate various time zones. Hear from colleagues at USAID’s Global Development Lab and the RTAC network, meet with peers in different countries on topics of mutual interest, and engage directly with practitioners to improve your applied research impact.
Breakout sessions will be led by experts in the field and will be focused on a variety of pressing contemporary issues including:
- Public Interest Lost: The Ugandan Education Sector During Covid-19
- Disinformation and Media Literacy
- Digital Security for Civil Society
- Bridging the Digital Gender Divide in South Africa
- A Case of Agriculture and Food Security in Kenya During Pandemic
